In its 25th year, with Loop as well as Chicago and Suburban experience, Alps Construction, Inc. has completed projects from tenant repairs to complete renovations and build-outs working with over 189 clients in over 200 buildings.

Alps - then and now
Alps Construction, Inc. is a family business with Scott Peterson and Susan McCurdy as Third Generation Peterson Contractors. Hans H. Peterson and Alfred W. Peterson started Peterson and Son Construction Company in 1959 as a residential and commercial contractor.  After several years, Peterson Interiors was added as a retail division.

Alps Construction, Inc. emerged years later and would take our family in a highly rewarding direction of Interior Commercial Construction.  After twenty-five years, both Peterson & Son and Peterson Interiors were phased out, and our energies and resources went into making Alps Construction, Inc. one of the finest firms of its kind in Chicagoland.

Scott joined Alps full time in 1981 and his professional abilities and knowledge have developed "through the ranks," and is now the Vice President of Marketing and Field Operations.  After graduating from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Business Administration, Susan is combining her education and years of experience to be the Vice President of Operations.

Over forty-five years later, the tradition the Peterson family established in 1959 of fine craftsmanship, professionally executed projects, work finished on schedule, and an impressive list of satisfied clients will continue to be our goal for the future. When we look at our staff, our number one concern is to maintain qualified construction professionals with a positive attitude at all areas of the company.  Alps' Project Managers have both extensive office and field experience and are responsible for your project from start to finish.  The Safety Manager keeps all levels up to date on OSHA regulations and protects the safety of our own employees, our subcontractors as well as our clients.  Our General Superintendent coordinates with the office and field to insure a smooth running project.  Alps' working Foremen have exceptional trade skills along with the ability to get your job done.  Our supervisory team is supported by Carpenters who are craftsmen in their field, experienced Laborers, Office personnel second to none, and subcontractors and suppliers who are the best we can find to fit the needs of your project.
